Hi All
Recently picked ths beauty up.It has a few running issues as the ram has been removed. Cammy9r gave me the advice needed to fix it and mentioned this site. So I thought I'd pop over and say hi, or G'Day.:)

Bikes a 98 ZX9R which has been tastefully converted into a streetfighter. It has £475 pounds worth of maxton suspension. Harris rearsets. R & G protection. Renthal Bars, LSL top yoke, Maxton rear tie rods, Micron end can, Braided hoses, New EBC HH pads, New DID heavy duty X ring Chain, Renthal F & R sprockets, Michelin pilot road tyres, Trail Tech Vapor Dash.

Tis green like a frog and mad as a box of them. As lame as I normally think naming bikes is, my Daughter called it Shrek and its kind of stuck! :D

Nice ride mate.

I was gonna give ya shit about the color, but since ya lil' girl has already called it shrek it's a bit pointless. I'll just have ta call ya 'the Donkey' instead :D

Thanks for the welcome Chaps.:)

I originally hated the colour and thought Jeez my eyes![:0] I intended to get it resprayed gloss black asap, but now its grown on me, like mould, so I think its going to stay green. Stickers are coing off though.

I'm just going to strip it down a bit and reset the cam chain tensioner and sort the ram air thing out. Cover me, I'm going in!:D

I live in Basildon in Essex which is about 30 miles from central London.

Looks tough in green mate ;) - just one thing - if you've blocked off the Ram air... where is the air getting into the frame for the airbox... Not sure about the 9 but on my 12r its a sealed unit - I could stall the bike if I blocked off the intakes...

I'm struggling to sort out the ram air issue. The bike doesn't run properly at all. The guy removed the hoses from the airbox and let it draw air from behind the frame. But as there is no ram air there is no fuel bowl pressure connected and the fuel bowls must have the same pressure as the air box. So I'm trying to run the fuel bowl pipe into the air box and get hold of some ram air tubes and cut them just outside of the frame. Hopefully the bike will run 100% then.:)
