Starting with an mdf dummy run. The plan is to use the 65mm ali
for my new top yoke. Xjr legs are 805mm (mine are 10mm through the yoke so 795mm is the aim.) R1 legs=750mm. By having the leg go only 20mm into the bottom of the yoke and having 20mm at the stem point I can effectively make 795mm. Then I'll make 2 50mm inserts that drop in the holes to give a smooth look to the top.

I'll then machine the bottom something like this but a bit nicer ;)
