Fuck chalky thats a bit tough mate[:0]

Ask yourself this mate how many times you seen it[?]:D

Saw the whole thing through once, that was enough.

While the Australian movie making scene is generally a load of dirt dish inspired colloquial cringe worthy crap it does occasionally produce some pearls, such as Mad Max. Stone definitely ain't in the pearl category.

Went and saw Torque at the cinema when it came out - nearly walked out at various laughable points in the movie. Rubbish.

FUCK YES! If Matthew Vaughan (Layer Cake / Lock Stock / Snatch) had his hand in this then you can guarantee this film should be awesome! Not only that, can you believe Phil Daniels is doing a full bike movie? A long time since his mod scooter riding days in Quadrophinia. Man, I'm up for this film BIG TIME! Maybe another cult film in the making?

Not to mention talking to another rider 3m away while up one one at 100mph [xx(][xx(]

And chalky, how long ago was "stone" made[?][?][?]....
...Def. prehistoric coz you can carbon date the wooden acting [:o)][:0][B)][^]

27-09-2007, 03:23 PM
:D

And LatheBoy, I don't know whether it looks that gay, well any less gay than something produced by an industry that specialises in blokes in make-up playing dress-ups.

BUT the title is as limp wristed as a queer corpse.

Gix11
27-09-2007, 04:19 PM
I reckon the title was based on the song so they knew they'd have an anthemic title music track based in the era this film looks like it is set.

27-09-2007, 04:32 PM
Don't remember that anthem Gix, who did it?

And regardless, it's still really bubble headed whining tree hugging lefty fag sounding to me. You sure this isn't a gay biker version of Free Willy?

Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSD7cfi3JPQ - get your lighter out.

I actually didn't see the trailer first time I looked, just the photos. After seeing that I realise it is set well past the days of Lynyrd Skynyrd!

Stone was riding a Norton, and I think they had to put some soapy water down so it could be dropped... and I saw Stone when it was first released, I enjoyed it then, I have seen it once since, at least it had some decent bike riding and proper sound effects, unlike some of the "hollywood" scenes with 2 stroke bikes sounding like R1's et al....
So I'm an old cunt... sue me..:D
