Howdy all, I am need of some good advice!

A while back i decided to see what would happen if my bike and I hit an oncoming car, and i discovered that front forks and wheel get stuffed up pretty easily...as well as the usual cosmetic damage that the road inflicts on plastic.

I ride(rode) a 88 GSXR750, and have been hunting around for some replace forks and wheel...unfortunately my best option so far is Vic Motor Ripoffs, and i am not made of money.

I read Deano's howto on K model front installations on early GSX's, but am curious if anyone else out there has had to replace or chose to upgrade their forks? And what sort of mods will i have to make...?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey. Welcome Mbit. Loads of us have changed our forks mate. Bottom line for you - it's gonna cost you whatever you do for a new front end, so don't mess about getting a replacement, upgrade to a '90 model GSXR USD front end - job done. Check ebay and get something cheap from the U.S.
