Actually a GSXLS

Actually it's still a TLS.

The Letters actually mean something.

I can't remember exactly but it's something like

G - 4V OHC
S - Road
X - In line 4
R - Race Replica

T - Twin
L - ?
S - Road
R - Race Replica

S - Road
V - V Twin

As far as I can tell all those letters stand for

"God-damned, Stupidly, Xcessively, Large Seat-unit"

X has something to do with 4 valves ie GS / GSX

I know that bike very well, it's owned by an old "contact" of mine - Steve. It was built by MPR (Motorcycle Plastic Repairs) here in Melbourne in about '98 or so just before the TLR was invented.
There was an awesome amount of work that went into it to build it but it hasn't been looked after since so it's a bit of a dog now.
If anyone is interested in it, I'd advise having a good long look over it first, the owner is as shifty as a shithouse rat & a chronic bullshit artist so take anything he says with a grain of salt & just let the bike do the talking.

The X is the inline 4 bit.

A GS500 is twin OHC 4V

The X denotes a 4 valve head.
My GS1000 is an inline 4 but only has a 2 valve head.
Don't know what the L means but it's usually "limited edition"

dont like that one much but there is a TLR with K2 or maybe K4 fairng that looks good, i reckon it was in rapid at one stage.
