What are everybodys thoughts on a 1991 GSX1100F
(the full plastic model with electric screen)
Theres one sitting up here going cheap!
70K kms. pretty good except bad faded paint.
still all stock.
any thing to look out for??? or reason not to buy one??
Ive never come across this model before.. it has come over from
singapore recently.

I was looking at one a while ago Appo, go for it. They run a detuned GSXR1127 motor that is a Torque Monster, in fact they got the 1127 motor 2 years before the GSXR went to 1127cc's.
70km is run-in miles on one of them, especially being a such a big touring oriented lump of a machine few of them ever really got caned, and they were sold here they're actually the GSX1100FJ.
That model was one of the first well known fighters in England, or summat like that.

What price are they asking?

I know the quite well, he had the bike since new but kept it
singapore where he visited alot.. its had a very easy life, just darwin sun
has taken its toll. I could pick it up for about 1500, probably cheaper
if I help him paint his bloody house!!
i can see some real potential in it, just never seen oone before..
big fucken lug of a thing!!!

Strip off the tupperware and they trim right down.

@ 1500 it's a steal, better than buying just the engine from OzKat, which is already a good deal. If you don't take it, put it up for someone else from here. If I get a new contract signed in time I'd definitely take it.

The F motors used to be the choice of motor for the 7/11 swap (pre Bandit, I assume)....

just need the time to do something with it..
already have two bike projects on the go, and a boat
build happening!!
If I decide not to do anything with it, it will go up for
sale here, for what I paid for it dont worry.
I assume once I piss off all that plastic it will
speak to me and I'll get some idea of what to do to it.

I can only 2nd what the others have already said.

True, most folk think 7/11's are using GSXR11 lumps but
the first one I ever saw was a Silver/Grey GSXR7 with a
GSX11F power screen motor.

Nah, there was too much fucking around with confirming ownership, and then discovering that the supposed 'owner' was a speed dealer who had 'recovered' the bike as part of a debt pretty well soured me on the deal.

I may be an asshole, but I'm not that dodgy, or stupid.........................

Ive seen one of the RBT buses used as a brothel!!
i reckon there was 4 cops and about 9 girls having an
orgy one night..... arms and legs and arse's going everywhere!!
lots of sex going on the back of patrol cars up in the
bush... picking drunk girls up on the street and offering

I picked the bike up on monday.... and its still sitting exactly
where i left when I got home!!.
havent even taken any plastics off it.
Im unsure if I really want to tackle too much of it while we
are coming into the wet season up here.... everything will start to go mouldy
and everything is always covered in condensation..... too much humidity in the air,
about 85% at the moment!!!
my missus is back from holiday next week and I'll have my camera back, so I'll
atleast get some photos of it in its original state posted!!
its just a stock standard 1100 F. the fairing will be up for sale
if anybody comes across anyone who wants the original farings with electric shield
etc... all great nic, just fucked paint.
