G'Day All
I am new to ASF, a little back ground about myself & bike...I have been in Aus for 1 year (Aus Army PTI)after 24 years in the British Army as a Physical Trainging Instructor (PTI); I have been riding bikes since I was 17 (Honda VF 750S (85), GSX-R 750 (90-99) & R1 (99-Today). My R1 (R7 paint job) came with me from UK, I am a fair weather rider & only clocked 8000 kms from new. At 41, always having to look behind your should for the police & no track for miles I have decided to transform my RI in to a SF, that being said, I have a picture in my head what I want to achieve, however, I have no idea where to look for pictures or to purchase the parts. The question I ask is has anybody got any suggestions to what it should look like & where to purchase the parts. I look forward to your suggestions, pic, photos etc[:o)]

Hey Neil,
welcome mate, I take it you are at Kapooka? If so say G'day to Darns for me. For advice on building a fighter this is the best place to get it. As for suppliers two members on here Qickdraw and Exben can help you out, these guys can supply anything and probaly everything you need.
cheers Rod

Do heaps of research for looks etc. before you start, so you don't waste money. Here's some of my links who I got R1 stuff from for my bike or gave me inspiration.

No worries Neil, Darns is also known as Paul Darnley he's another snake down there (well I heard he had been made up.) He rides a Ducati Monster and does an excellent impression of Thomas the Tank Engine on the piss.
cheers Rod

Welcome mate you will get plenty of good advice here and as Bear said make sure you know what you want to do before you start or you will just waste money changing things again and again.
