Not trying to sound tough here, Id have a hard time punching my way out of a wet paper bag, but the dude has pretty much exhausted all "legal" options. Why wouldnt he go round to the thiefs house, with a few mates and make an example of him?

It seems to me after reading that thread that I could go round the bay area and steal every bike I could find and not worry about any ramifications. Its a fucked situation but there are ways to get a conclusion. I really do admire the guy for wanting to keep it legal but that time has past IMO.
