Gday everyone heres a before pic of my fighter i built it back in 2002 with the help of my wife and kids, only to sit in garage for the last couple of years, untill a shooting buddy decided to get his bike licence i got it back on the road. Well in march we went out for a ride and the gear box had a bit more of a whine in sixth and fifth so i said thats it out she comes, and with that the motor was out the next w/end only to find a few cracks in the frame so of to the paint stripers then to bob martin engineering to get welded up and braced it is now re powder coated and ready for more work i will post more pics as they come. http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/8053804268850.jpg

The first pic is of the repaired cracks ( missed the one on the swing arm )the welding inside the frame is for strength, they put 6mm plate in and i cleaned up the calipers (i got from cutcat thanks mate :) )and the misus says they look good as they are so ill leave them for now.
now for a tech tip if you want to strip calipers and master cyl's and this is the good bit( use the old seals as long as there still good) get a tub of warm water and pour in some dobatex also know as teepol( a shell product) and hey prosto brake fluid all gone then rise in clean hot water. i have done this many times now and never had a seal problem with brakes, even have done the same with car calipers and mastercyl's.

Gday all, well i finally got of my ass and started getting the bike back together.
About 7 weeks ago i dropped the the motor off to get it all put back together (its the only way for me to get motivated these days) the guys had to replace 2,5,6 gears the inner clutch busket, cam chain and i asked them if they can wack in a manual cam chain adj so in went a tsuaki unit also new bearings and so on.
While ive been waiting for the motor i got going some other bits, the tank, tail and a few other bits got rubbed back ready to paint, the wheels where re-polished and bead blasted ready to paint now all that stuff is at gibbos waiting for paint. Also ive been able to make a few bits and pieces since getting a small lathe. http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1258319928.jpg
