After 6 months of research, parts finding and fitting, I'm nearing the intiial build phase of the project.
She's an '85 750 kat that i have "crossed" with 86/87 gixxers.
Engine remains untouched - for now- until it is licensed and running well.

A list of some of the mods are:
-87 gsxr 750 forks and triples.
-86 gsxr 1100 rims, front guard and front rotors
-custom machined cush drive from '86 1100 - reduced 5mm
-47 tooth gix sprocket
-scar motard bar and raised mounts.
-Aztec headlight mounts
-tsubaki extended chain
-rear lights not yet on bike from gsx'f' kat
-tokico 6 pots from bandit
-clutch master from a VFR
-brake master from VFR

Anyway nough said. Heres some pics of her in the raw.

REMEMBER: She has never been washed/clean/poliched etc. I am working on the cake first - not the icing!
6 months of dust and crud are all over her.

Cheers fellas,
She certainly is different Gix!
I didnt have a lot of inspiration because i couldnt find a lot of popups that have been transformed so a lot of it is make it up as you go along.
I wanted it to be a fightered version of a cafe racer.....hence the "Soul-tana".
Still got a lot of mods to go...after she's licensed!!!!;)

mate - i reckon making it up as you go along is the best way to go along ;)
The builds looking good - I get what you mean about the dirt and crap - I rode mine around for a month with the tail piece looking like shit while i built it :D

A MONTH?

Mines been in the process for a couple of years now... it must be the longest fighter build on the site.

I've been getting motivated lately tho...

I'm kind of used to riding it round looking like a beaten up shitter.

Geez Dane, at least you can ride it around!

I wish i had it licensed BEFORE altering it too much so i could burn around on it and dial in all the changes!!!

After finally getting it off the hoist after 3 months in the air, i noticed that my "new" forks were leaking everywhere thru the seals.
So back on the hoist today and remove all the front end to put in new fork seals.....murphys bloody law eh.
