New from Perth

Hi guys,

I am new on here, but have been round bikes for about twelve years or so, and have had a good selection of bikes over the years. I built my first streetfighter back in 2004-06, and it was great for the six months i had it on the road. It got stolen, and never recovered, so I started to look for something else to do. I bought a crashed CBR954RR in 2006, and have been slowly working through the final years of uni, and having a baby, to get her ready for the road, and track, and stunting!

I will have some pics of the old and the new up soon - the old was the bling one, and the new one is the workhorse!

I loved the old one, and the new one will never be the show pony the old one was, but the ultimate goal over the next couple of years is to get a nice new engine, and custom build my own frame and single sided swingarm for it. Then kit it out with some nice fruit and she'll be sweet!

Welcome aboard mate. Still does my head in why wankers steal bikes, let alone modified ones which obviously stand out. They would have had to strip it to sell the bits. I guess you checked ebay shortly afterwards?

Yep Gix, was monitoring it like a maniac for months afterwards.... the frame was annoying too, cause i painted over the big arse dent in it to hide it, so even if they stripped the paint, the dent would have shown up in the pics of a for sale ad...... Drove me nuts looking for it, but in the end i got a better base bike to start with (the 954) and now it is onwards and upwards!

Just need to sell the missus and the baby to fund this now..... :)
