Dave (DaveK5) put his 14 down today and is in hospital with a broken leg just above the ankle and a fair bit of bark off...

Details are sketchy at this stage but hopefully we can get in to see him tomorrow and find out how he's doin....

p.s. if this isn't the right section can a mod move it for me.. cheers..

Bugger, That sux. What can I say? Get well soon Dave.
At least you will be able to get into a new round of mods, repairing what ever damage the bike sustained.......

will try to get up the hospital today or tonight and lay some shit on him, the bike is a bit of a mess but nothing that cant be fixed/fighted.
dave will be treated well as he workes at the hospital and we want to know wether he is going to be paid overtime for all the hours he is at work.

Shit house dude .. hope you heal up good and stuff .. the only problem with working at the hospital is that nurses are nothing new and you already know how bad the food is ..

Just been up and seen Dave... bit of bark off and a broken and pinned ankle.....

Had a look at some pics of the bike... gonna be a fair bit of work but it'll be a good base for some more streetfighter mods..

Seems the goodridge braided lines I sold him the other day proved a bit too good for him .. :)

He locked the front up on a loose patch after exiting a roundabout not uncommon when you're riding a bike you've had for a fair while and got familiar with and then change something... different brand of tyres can do the same thing...

Got a spare wheelchair here so he can get around under the house to work on the bike anyway and I'll recall some crutches that are on loan... might be time for him to put a chair on the XJ9

Sounds like he's having a laugh about it anyway. Good bloke. Cheers for the update Stevo.
