I have a set of Bandit forks that I will be fitting to my CB900. Who knows which Suzuki wheels will fit those forks? It's about a 2000 Bandit. From what I can tell the 600/1200 Bandit and the 600/750 GSX-R wheels fit a 120mm tyre, which is what I want up front. Anyone know which models would suit?

Also, looking through the Suzuki range, I notice the RGV250 has a 150mm rear tyre. Thats about as wide as I can go without hitting the chain. A friend (who rides a Ducati - poor bastard, there is no hope for him) says that it might not be a strong enough wheel. Anyone got any thoughts on that?

Cheers guys, thanks for the help :-)

With the forks, are you using the bandit yolks as well or fitting them in the CB yolks? It's all about what distance is between the fork legs obviously. Oh, and welcome aboard mate.

your mate is a cock, give him an uppercut. the rgv runs the same wheel as the early gsxr.

Howdy fellas :D I only got them the other day and have had only a few minutes to look at them before going out. I will use the Bandit yokes, since the forks are much bigger diameter than the Honda items. 35mm compared to, I'm guessing, 45mm. So will have normal Suzuki spacing between forks. Have to check the trail first though...

I am looking for a bolt in fit: wheel, brakes, mudgaurd etc. Bandits aren't as common as gixxers in Oz so I just wanna know what else to look for before I go annoy some wreckers ;) I am betting there is a bunch of Suzi stuff that will slot right in. Or will with spacers made.

I was checking out a GSF1200 today, I know most people get a Bandit and drop in gixxer stuff to improve it. But the Bandit forks will be a big leap forward for my old Honda [}:)] Once again any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers [8D]

why dont you change the swing arm and put in a bigger wheel maybe get 180/190 in there?
Cant you just use a bandit front wheel?
Any photos of your bike red?

Photos will come soon, for any who are interested. I only just got the motor and the forks. I have been away from home for the last few days. But I am keen to get home and get started. I want to see what this motor is like.

I don't really want to mess with the drive sprocket. A 150mm rear tyre is plenty wide enough, and will squeeze in with about 10mm gap to the chain. The CB1100's run a 130 rear, so a 150 will be ok for me. Plus, it's not the size, it's how you use it [}:)] Or some crap like that.

The rear swinger will be getting modified since I am going to fit an R1 shock that I bought. But that is another story. Yeah a Bandit front wheel would be the go, but chances are against me to find one. There are more chances of getting gixxer stuff. So I was looking for some advice before I buy something that is going to be a head f#^k.

Ok, gratuitous engine porn shot:
