Trike Day at The Ace

Last sunday the 2nd at the Ace cafe it was the 3 wheelers day all in aid of NABD ;)

I slid the Busa out the garage and launched it in the direction of London to meet my mate who owns the STUNNING blue and silver Busa trike below. What a nice day out we had !

I can understand the paraplegics riding trikes but why would anyone else do it? And, if your going to build a trike build it with the 2 wheels at the front. Properly set up the thing could quite possibly out handle most motorcycles/motorcyclists. Now that would be interesting. Or maybe even a proper street Quad?

Fuck there are some wild machines.
Personally I'd give a trike a go if it had a blown VW engine... or a jet turbine.... or a fucking V8! [8D]
Gotta disagree with you there snortin... doubt you'd ever make a quad or a trike handle better then a bike. Centre of gravity is way to high compared to the wheel base. Ever watch the quad bikes go round the motard track? Those things get some wicked two wheeled action :D

How's the exhausts on that 5 wheeled (not a trike by definition then) ratter. Rough...but still registered. I like it.

They handle like a big heavy quad bike, its all in the stearing.

NABD help a lot of disabled / injured bikers get back on a bike or trike.

I've been involved with aust champ winning roadrace side cars and that's the level of construction I'm talking about for a (2 wheels at the front) trike or a quad. Build it to the road law ride height limit (100mm I think) and set up properly it would definitely be quicker than a bike (around corners; after all they only put the straight bits in the roads to join the corners together)as it has more traction and better overall weight distribution. It would be fun to try at least but as we all know a bike is always going to be better fun

Hat off to ya snortin - I was taking it from a motard quad bike vs bike POV. When's a quad not a quad tho? When its an Ariel Atom :D - now I'd have one of those yes please.
