a friend of mine is selling his old kat motor. its a 1100 with a 1260 yoshi kit in it with 750 carbies. just wondering how much trouble would i have to go thru to put it in my gsxr 750? the motor was pushing 130 hp at the wheel. any advice would be great.

There was a picture in the reader's bike section of Streetbike many years ago that showed a slab side gixxer with one fitted. From memory it was from NZ but don't quote me! Even if you got it in there I think you would have to drop the motor for valve checks and the xtra weight/width would make the handling very dodgy!! If it's priced right put it away in the shed and wait for a cheapie gsx to show up in your local trading post/wrecker then drop it in.

Moog was just downstairs a minute ago with his bike. Saw how he did it. It's not going to be really easy but it is possible. Was really weird seeing a GSXR coming towards you yet hearing an EFE motor....
