Good roads between Brisbane and Toowoomba?

I've shooting out to Toowoomba for fathers day on saturday, the highway is pretty damn boring so anyone know a good road from Brisbane (city) to Toowoomba?

Yes I do!
Head out through The Gap, Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious, then onto Esk, take the Hampton exit(the one before the bridge), once at Hampton take a left towards Toowoomba, You'll come into Toowoomba from the High Fields side. This should give the sides of your tyres a good work out! :D

Just got back from the ride - what can I say - i'll never take the highway again - sure it adds about an hour and a bit to the ride but soooo much more fun :D.

I slowed down once I hit the crows nest turn off to toowoomba - the roads got shittier then but most of the way I was cruising through the flip flops at about $1.20 to $1.40. BLISS [8D]
