we live 35k's out of town and we didn't get worse of it, we're flooded in at the moment until the creek goes down. here's some pics.[B)][B)]

If your car is flooded, hold your foot flat and turn the motor over and it should start. ;)

Hope the bike is OK.

yeah the car's the damage we got, what was lil stream/creek about a 1 ft deep an 2m wide turned into a river in a few min. town got hit the worse 1 mate lost just about everything. his house was 5 ft deep in his lounge room.we're kinda stranded but can get out to the mainroad by foot.gunna have to get out soon i'm running outta smokes n grog.lol.

Hope the worst is over for you Scotty...Just got back from fishin meself...fuckin lotta rain around...thank fuck for landcruisers thats all I have to say otherwise I wouldn't be postin right now..the rain that got mackay has come north...it's snuffed out a little but still hangin.

gotta say that's an interesting way to park a comodore.... I guess you'd call it fluid drive.. :D



we didn't get anuwhere near what you guys got... although there was a bit of localised flooding... but probably only something like we used to get back in the 70's/80's when we had decent wets...

well the insurance came thru and are going to pay up[^].
no trouble with looters on the badge, we hit a duck about a month ago then a week after i hit a duck on the bike doin 110k's[:0]. fucked duck lol.
the next step is another car but not from here.. we've been looking at cruisers for awhile now even b4 the flood.
i can remember townsville coping big floods back in 98ish. never thought it would happen here.

lol. na jus got alot of whistling ducks in the area. ducks n plovers mostlty. it make interesting riding thru the twistys, got about 6k's of twisty roads to go thru every day.

just herd the local toyota dealer lost 180 new cars.
keep an eye out at the auctions down south theres gunna be alot of cheap cars.
been listining to the tow truck drivers on the 2way the last couple of days n they've been very busy. even seen trucks from other towns getting around.
