my youngest bro wants to immigrate and although he has $300k and im sponsering him he cannot find his trade on the wanted list [although im innudated with requests for scaffs]
so really this is for the builders out there anyone know of a way of getting him here under some sort of sponsorship from a scaffolding firm ? he is a supervisor at the mo knows all about pricing jobs etc and can do all types of scaffolding from usual tube and fitting to modular scaffolding including formwork
has his own small frim back in Manchester and is desperate to come here ive got him work as soon as hes ehre but the aussie govt wont let him in cos his trades not on the wanted list

Im not sure of all the in's and out's but I thought for a
company to sponsor him it needs to be a trade that they cant
recruit localy ? Is there really a shortage of Scaffolders ?

Have you tried giving a couple of the larger company's a call
and asking their opinion / if they are interested.
If they had a reason for out-sourcing staff he may have a case.

The downside to being sponsored by an employer is that you may
be treated like shit as you are at their mercy for a while.

I know that workforce solutions in Brisbane are doing 457 visa's. they will sponcer people with a trade background..
