Hey there, Yup I'm another newbie - I come from the V8 racing side of things.....don't hold it against me. I just bought this and am keen to change it. For starters i'm keen to change the colour of the wheels and the rear end. I want to keep the pillion for the missus. I'm also new to brisbane and am looking for a great mechanic!

Thanks,
Buggyboy!

Hey, another car can

I had one on my ZX9, it was a bit heavy but dyno'd it to just shy of 140 horses at the rear ;)

As for a decent bike wrench, try Darcy at Bike Performance (Enoggera). He's good - and reasonably priced.

Hey Buggyboy, the misses and I have been big Lowndes fans for years, I live in Benalla and rarely miss the Winton round of the V8's. Let me know when your down this way next and we'll catch up for a beer.

As far as the rearend goes keep an eye on Ebay, there's quite often tail sections on there.

Thanks for your help - I'm a keen ebayer. What should I look for when it comes to tails for these things? Other suzukis? or other brands and adapt them to it?

I rarely go to Winton but PM arount the time and I might be heading down!

Try this mob, they seem to have a fair range. Just remember that anything will fit, it just depends on the amount of mucking around you want to do.

Have a look at your bike then have a look at tail ends you think will work for the look ya after. Trust me I'm still learning myself, I have a GSXR Tail which I'm going to fit to my Ninja and I'm going to visit the professionals tomorrow "Hi Ben"
Cheers Rod

Can I see some photos of your bike? Does anyone have photos of a GSRX750 1989 with different tails?

Gees mate! That's an open ender! That's one of the most popular Streetfighter bikes out there.

Check in here for some influence and also take a look at how different people have mounted them:

There's a lot of German styled bikes in there but one of my fav slabbie conversions was Dodge's from the UK, although his was an 1100, but the principle is the same:
