I’ve been watching this forum for some time now.
Seeing as some Dutch friends of mine are posting their stuff here, it’s time to make my self known aswell.
My name is Jeroen, 35 years of age and, ofcourse, a Dutchie aswell.
If been building/rebuilding bikes for some time now as a hobby. But nothing worth mensioning. The last few years it went a bit further. Now I own 5 bikes and have enough stuff to build another one.
Basicly it started with a ‘93 Suzuki GSX-R1100WP. It had a few scratches on it so I put a K1-seatunit on it, adjusted the fearing, made a different exhaust and tuned the engine a bit.

Furthermore I had a frame of ‘78 GS1000 lying around. The project is still waiting to be build for a few years now. It has a 1135EFE engine, ZXR-font, original tank and a Bandit 400 seatunit. In the meanwhile I got a Blade-dragstyle swingarm and I thinking about replacing the seat with a ducktale of some sorts.

In the meanwhile I rebuild a ‘91 GSX-R750M for my girlfriend because, after the difficult birth of our first child, the driving-possition of her 400RR got to redical for her. Last summer I sold the engine and put in a 1100. She didn’t want a wheely happy bike, so I put in a 7” extended swingarm.

Driving my GSX-R1000 K1 and looking for parts of the old GS I stumbled across a crashed ‘92 GSX-R1100. I wanted to use it for the GS, but after stripping it down, I found out it would be a shame to do so. Therefor I decided to build a respectable fighter and called it “The Wraith”. It has a one-off subframe I designed myself. It runs underneith the tank with special arms so it looks like the 750 K4 seatunit is floating.

At this moment I’m building a ‘82 Katana. I bought if from my mate ReneEFE. The frame is adjusted for a GSX-R1100 engine. Sadly the frame wasn’t braced enough for the plans I have, so curently I’m doing some welding to it. It has runniggear from a GSX-R and a swingarm out of a dragracer with a Koni race-shock. In the meanwhile I’m gathering stuff for the engine. It’ll have Dyna-coils, a Wiseco 1216 kit, Yoshimura stage 1 cams, Yoshimura headers and 2 carbon exhausts and a ‘88 750R head. The head will be worked on. It’ll have bigger in and outs and the combustionchambers will be worked at aswell otherwise the compression is a bit to high. It’ll be done by the same guy that did the head of Ron’s Spondon-like Katana.
It’ll have the name “Carbonkat” because I’m ging to make one-off carbon parts for it.
