September 27, 2007 Honda will unveil a series of show motorcycles at this year’s Tokyo Motorcycle Show, headed by a radical six cylinder prototype to be known as the EVO6, which will be based on Honda’s six cylinder Gold Wing engine, but in a form far from its long-distance tourer guise. Seemingly aimed squarely at the Suzuki B-King muscle machine which was unveiled at this show four years ago, the 1832cc engine is much lighter and sportier than its touring brethren and is housed in an ultra-modern lightweight frame and is clearly designed for very rapid acceleration.

Well said HOS.

If you see a bike based on a Naked Goldwing being a serious
competition for a Naked 2nd generation Busa i'll have whatever
your smoking. In the real world it would get its arse kicked.
1800cc and 6 cylinders ?? Only in "Top Trumps"...;)

Its aiming more at the New V-Max. Another Show-Pony. All "tempter"
photo's show Twin Shock's, Shaft drive, Old world forks etc.

The claimed 200hp might win a few bragging rights down the Coffee
Club or Wine bar but i can't wait to meet one out around the Dam's
or through the mountains.

Bring it on.

If im wrong... GREAT !!! ....... I'll buy one.

all im saying is if "the 1832cc engine is much lighter and sportier than its touring brethren " why shouldnt it give the beef king a run for its money it should be smoother and have more torque and it looks like theyve pared off a fair bit of the fat plus it has a differrent frame, forks ,swing arm etc etc
bout as far away from a gold wing as u can get in fact the only thing they have in common is the engine and the tank badge
whereas tony u right about the yam its just a rehash of the old Vmax

Seen many Flat-6 shaftdrive sportsbikes recently?
I think there may be a reason...;)

From all accounts the new V-Max will be a bit of a Monster,
but they seem more interested in Big numbers and image
than addressing some of the failings of its past.

Both should suit Americans, will fit well with their
V-Rods, V8 Boss Hoss and 12" stretched Busa's.

Sadly the ÚS`s influence with "pimp my ride" and boulevard cruisers has infected all sorts of bikes now, Busas, Gixers, ZXs and allsorts of other normal street bikes.
It all seems focused around bling and turbos, doesnt matter if your never going to use it and it handles like a bag of poo, as long as "its BLING man" its OK :(
How long before we see a diamond encrusted stretched Busa ?

Tarts and Holywood posers..... blahhhhhhh.... [xx(]

Didn't take the Seppo's long to workout how to
stop a B-King from going around corners.
Just needs Twin Turbo's, Chrome and a Mural on the tank
and it'll be ready for 2-Wheel-Tuner or Streetfighters...;)

.i still reckon if u hurled that thing down a drag strip it be fun, and i dont know if it will be shaft driven ..so maybe its just gonna kick the Vmaxs arse [i wish they do them properly i do like Maxs but god are they stuck in the dark ages ]

They`ve been around since 1986 !!! Long model run..... too long.... :D
Took 9 years to upgrade the Busa mind you.

Testament to the popularity of these bikes [8D]
