OK folks, now that my Streetfighter is sorted I don't need 2 roadbikes so my prized ZXR is up for sale.
Details;
'93 L1 model.
39,000 Ks
Only 2 owners (I'm the 2nd)
New 2 pack Black paint & chrome stickers with lime green shadow.
New tinted screen.
New Pirelli Diablo tyres F & R not turned a wheel yet.
Mini indicators.
Tingate muffler
Ventura headlight protectors
K&N air filter
ZX7R front guard
Re-covered F & R seats in leather look vinyl (originals were a bit brittle from the sun.)
2200 kms ago, I gave it a BIG birthday which included getting the shocker rebuilt, new O ring chain & F & R sprockets, F & R pads, front discs machined, full fork service incl new seals & Silkolene RSF oil, steering bearings, F & R wheel bearings, regreased all swingarm bearings, flushed & renewed coolant, F & R brake fluid, clutch fluid (all Motul) Oil & filter change, Polished the frame, swingarm, rims grab handle & Muffler, blasted & Hi temp coated the headers (although it hasn't lasted as well as I'd hoped it would) Full tune & service incl. carb balance & valve clearances, flushed the fueltank, new fuel filter, K&N air filter & that's about all I can remember.
The fairings & front guard are fibreglass reproduction items (not Raceglass) The bike was laid over right in front of me at very slow pace by a "Mate" of mine, the damage was purely superficial & I have the damaged fairing to prove the extent of the damage, the bike only slid for a few metres & did not hit anything (except of course, the ground) The frame, forks, radiator, tail, etc were not touched. I couldn't find decent secondhand plastic fairings so sourced brand new f/glass items. The KMs are genuine.
Rest assured there is not a cent to spend on this bike, it looks & rides like new & will eat a similar model GSXR for breakfast & spit out the pips.
It would be a perfect step up for someone getting off their learners onto their first big bore.
It isn't currently registered but I'll supply a Vic RWC if someone local buys it.
I'm asking $4500 firm for it which has to be a bargain considering the work it's had done & the money that's been spent on it.
Any test is welcome, I'm in the Waverley area in Melbourne.
No test rides without me holding the full amount in cash. (yes, I've been burnt before)
PM or call 0412 055 350 Darren.
