View Full Version : St.Kilda - US Style Busa

I was down at St.Kilda last weekend and I saw this Busa coast by. It was the full US Style Fighter look and sounded pretty mad with a straight out pipe. I carried on walking and noticed it pulled up down at the beach front so nicked down to take some photos and say hello to the owner. Although this is that US style that is just the bolt on goodies and induces detrimental handling, it did look very good and a lot of money had been thrown at it. We can definitely say that this style has crept into Aus as well.........

The owner was a good bloke and took aa ASF card but I haven't seen him here as yet. If you're here mate, shout out.

Is anybody down that way familiar with this bike or know the owner?

The paint was quite awesome in the light of day. I'm sure the paint gurus here will appreciate that part. I asked about the components and they were all from the US, off the shelf numbers.

The rest of the bike isn't my style but it's pretty fucking nice and the front wheel and brakes are very sexy too.

you sure?? i think the one in rapid was the firebrand one wasn't it? they have a shop up here in sydney. unless there is more than one crazy blinged out busa......[V]

EDIT: i stand corrected. it was in the april or march (the one with the kwaka 600 on the cover) issue. except these most recent photos have the pipe and swingarm like everyone said.

Ladies, ladies! Calm down!
At the last minute (Thursday to be exact) I got a message from a friend that she had bought a ticket and booked a hotel for us to get away for the weekend as I have been overcooking things for the last few weeks trying to sort some things out, being sick as a bastard and getting no sleep, so being the good samaritan she sorted this for me so I could just relax and chill. We got down on Saturday morning and left on Sunday arvo, so hardly time to catch up with the lads now was there? - plus I don't think catching up with Daz, Deano & Gibbo would correlate to a relax and chill session now would it - more of a coma and hospital stay!

I'll be down for the GP and also to catch up with Brad at Bikecraft so I'll give you plenty of notice so we can all hold hands and drink herbal Tea.

I understand not every fighter in the the United States of McDonalds
looks like this, but judging by copies of "2-Wheeled Tuner" and a long
list of US parts suppliers it sure ain't farkin' Tibetan style..;)

Saw that bike down on Lygon the other night I'm pretty sure. Don't look real rideable, and I have issues with any mod that PREVENTS a bike from wheelying. Still, it's nice and shiny.

And they're (quite rightly) getting fed up with the stretched and slammed Busa being seen as the only type of US fighter.....

Farkn typical Amercian defensive attitudes at work , they were after all the founders of bling and stretch , I havent read an artical yet that says ,Yank street fighter builders dont amount to shit!, so insted of focusing on one line of an artical, why not say yeah we build those (Bling Busa's ) But we also have some pretty high quality fighters aswell ..........Or have 2 pills of hardn the fuck up sooks:(

2 wheel tuner is a garbage magazine so you cant base crap off that. I sent them pictures of my fighter while I was building it and they were more interested in the useless piece of garbage, shop built customs and "fighters". If I had invested 15-20k into my bike I probably would of had a shot. There isnt a U.S magazine that features REAL fighter bikes and not some shop built show piece. I wish someone would start one though.

`I agree 12lve but isnt that why forums such as this exist for those like us that have budgets and other careers(then bike master craftsman) , Im sure everyone dreams of a mag spreed but if you cant build it or fund it then the internet is seen by more then that buy magazines[:I]

You want a 20ft long busa and it aint for the drag strip then there is somthing wrong.
