Hey guys, my bike is a GSXR 7-11 and I'm confused as to what I need to do with the rear sprocket. I've noticed my current rear is fit for a 750 ie 44 tooth but the specs for the 1100 says it needs 48 teeth. SO do I need to up my rear 4 teeth, or is it fine where it is? Ive forgotten if you up the rear or lower the teeth number for better acceleration.

Bigger one up the rear makes you accelerate faster. [:0]

SO should If I want from a 44 tooth to say a 50 tooth which is just two teeth bgger than the 1100 I should be in business? Can anyone tell me why the 750 have less teeth than the 1100's if they have the same sized wheels?

I'm guessing gearbox ratio's, how high they rev, front sprocket size.

The fronts appear to be the same, I guess the gear box ratio is where it will be at. Still not sure if i should go a few up on the 1100 or the 750 ratio...

How does it ride currently? Remember she'll rev out faster at top end so you might loose a bit of top speed, but that's not too much of an issue. You're running a shorter wheelbase anyway with the 7/11 so making it pick up faster will do exactly that to the front end also. Don't make it too unrideable by fitting too big a sprocket. Trial and error might be the go. Source some old sprockets and try them out.
