Hello just a quick hi how you doing, i`m still to pass my full test (next week 7th Jan fingers crossed) but have just picked up my first proper bike. A nice pretty mint Suzuki GSX550EF.
I have decided to go for the street fighter look and fell across this site.
I will be doing the bike on a very very small budget! But plan on a good polish, matt black paint, twin head lamp, bar end mirrors and a digi dash.
A quick bit about me, I live in South Wales, UK and have been riding for about a year on a 125. But my 30th B`Day in next week so decided to get off my arse and do things properly.
Anyway I will catch you all later and keep you updated on my little project.

Hi, I`m about 8 miles from Cardiff in a town called Barry.

Thanks for the welcome, nothing I like more than old school from the 80`s, cars and bikes etc, all part of being a 80`s child. They are the toys I wanted when I was young :D he he.

BTW any advice on idea`s etc would be great being a bit of a noob etc [:I]

Thanks for the very warm welcome guys. Looking forward to my stay! Just itching to get my full licence and get out on a proper bike. Also itching to get to work on it. I`m quite lucky I work in the engineering department in The University of Wales, so I will be able to get a lot of stuff fabricated. Also there are a few bike nuts that work there that are always more than helpful.
Will start up a thread as soon as I start work on the bike.

Bollocks, I failed my test. Apparently I nearly hit a parked car, dont know how the examiner saw that as he was about 100meters away stood on the side of the road. Also I never went at a junction when the traffic light was red ?!?!

Oh well. re-test in a couple of weeks

You should have just explained that streetfighter pilots don't stop for red lights, and that you were trying to kick the mirror off the car, so you had to get close. lol

I passed, second time lucky. Well I have been blasting about all afternoon getting used to the bike. Just got to finish painting and a twin lamp conversion and i will pop some before and after pics up.
