we envisage getting to surfers on the monday/tuesday after our little invasion of evans we wanna do the touristy stuff and somewhere kid friendly would be great

Sounds like you wanna be in town mate and I know Learnatic (Mark) is always offering people to crash at his. He's right in Broadbeach near the Casino and walking distance to the beach. He has a four bed house so maybe give him a nudge? I'm a bit far out for you.
