The UK is getting these next year [8D]

You can ride quad bikes on the road on a car license here in UK.
As long as the quad is road legal that is.

I always wondered why quads arent road legal over here. I mean, they arent any more exposed or "dangerous" as a bike and they would have better handling thanmost work utes/commodores/falcons etc.

Anyone know the deal?

The laws a bit screwed up in this area in the UK.

Any car driver can ride a quad on his car license without ever having ridden a bike and you do`nt have to wear a lid either ?? WTF ??
