View Full Version : Fitting a Magneto on a GSXR

In a box on Honda Four parts I got a 4 lead maggy off a boat possibly. The previous owner was going to adapt it to a CB750. Now, I've seen the GSXR that Twizzle used a maggy on and am curious whats involved.

Mate had a GSX11 with a "Rita" (Maggy) ignition a few years ago it came with a toothed belt like a cam belt and drove off the same end the CDI drove off. Seemed to work real well.

The Gixxer is a reliable motor but , it's just a passing thought and with the GSXR motor going into a swingarm chopper for myself it is something I'll leave off to get the bike finished quicker. But, if it was on a dragbike I'd be doing some serious planning for it . I'll put it on the shelf for now and give it some serious thought on the bike after Slave Of The Cannibal God .
