Greetings to the ASF crew
Hi and excuse me for doing this slightly ass about in introducing myself second to putting a wanted post in bike sales, should've read the disclaimer first. But maybe I'm slightly ass about anyway. So after many years dirt bike riding and one leather jacketless slide down the bitumen off my RGV when I was 19 the streetbike bug has had its chomp.Lucky enough to spend 6 months in Europe which well earns its reputation for being streetfightersville,I started riding again.High fuel prices, heavy traffic and lust for speed sees a disproportionate number of sportsbikes as regular transport and mate they're EVERYWHERE.Germany and the Netherlands I'm talking about mostly. As mentioned in the other post scraping the chickenstrips off my ZXR's tyres became a major priority.Previous to Europe I was working in central western Africa as a welder and mechanic on a chimpanzee rescue centre as a volunteer and Africa is every bit as wild as you'd reckon. You fuck up there your dead.I nearly was.
I've worked as an artist blacksmith and metal fabricator for the last 12 years, still am,previous to that I was a bike mechanic apprentice.I'll post some pics of a bike that took nearly 5 years to finish, not a streetfighter but a forged steel sculpture.
I don't curently have a bike having been back in Melbourne for only 5 weeks hence the wanted post.Great to join up with some intellectual ratbag motorheads, should be more of us.
Cheers and will be in touch for sure Rich
