Hello Gentlemen - heard about the site through another Forum I frequent and thought I'd branch out and check in. Name is Jason and I reside in California U.S.A. I'm the owner of an '05 Fightered R1, which I proudly claim to be an American Streetfighter for it's unique style. It was recently published in STREETMONSTERS, a new French SF rag. Check it out...

Love those PM wheels, but not sure about the no rear brake look.

Welcome aboard mate. Seen your bike before. As they say, good to see something tasty coming out of the states for a change. Must admit you're a brave man riding with no rear brake unless you have something clever you're not telling us about.
It's like a cross-over of two other ASF bikes we know:

Very nice work mate.

if the bike isnt a daily ride whats the big problem with no rear brake? i understand that if the front brake fails you have none, but the likely hood has got to be minimal doesnt it?

....Until you get into shit and the front wheel slides on breaking and the back just pushes you through under non balanced breaking. That's what happened to me. Came into a roundabout hard and a bunch of kids that had stolen a metro came flying around it so I had to anchor on right in an oily patch, front slid with all the weight of me and the pillion pushed forward with nothing to hold the back down. Lost the bike and broke the girlfriend's arm. You'll be amazed how much balanced breaking really does distribute the weight. Maybe you guys think otherwise but that's just my thoughts.

I'm with you Si - do any advanced riding course and they'll beat into you the benefits of balanced breaking. I use it all the time just to keep things settled - not too much mind - its not a motard ;)

Thanks for the props Gentlemen. I have some new stuff coming this winter as well. Girder style front end and some improved wheels - maybe even a rear brake!
