Is this normal [xx(] [?]
I went for a spin around the block (about 10k).
Do they all look like this or is it 'cos my window is too close to the clutch unit ???????
Or could it be condensation ?????

:D Ya right mate..once real warm it cleared up.

:( The fooker leaks. I need to plug the small holes that should have socket cap bolts in them (chemical metal should do the trick) and a slight leak between the collar and the main plate.

The air cooled Yamis do that if you only take them for short spins. I had a Diversion that I used to ride to work each day - 8K's each way and it ended up with milky oil. It's condensation. You need to take it for longer rides.

they all do it mate don't worry about it. once the oil heats up and splashes over the window then it will stay clear. same principal as foggy windscreens in the morning.

best you plug the 3 other holes at the top aswell mate.

did you end up oring sealing it?

keep in mind that the oil will leak through the threads of the bolts aswell so it you are relying on the bolts to seal at the thread then best you get out you favourite thread sealing compond.

good job BTW

I'm gonna strip it apart again and sort it. The only oil leak is the 3 bolt holes.
Nothing pisses me off more than oil leaks...usually so easy to cure yet they make such a mess...aye Fimp ;)

My quick access clutch cover has thru holes and they dripped till i put some epoxy in the inside unused thread , for a professionaly made piece i thought it was a bit poorly thought out, the holes were effectively outside the sealing O ring
And i get condensation for the first few runs on the strip, wondering if i had a blown headgasket last weekend but the oil was clear just a milky layer on top.that dissapeared by lunchtime.

Nice to know the pro's make the same mistakes as me then..[^]
The six holes are just to fill the bolt holes on the st/st disc.
I've now used liquid metal to plug the backs of them and I'll use very short bolts. They're non-functioning so I'll use a bit of sillycon on the threads to stick them in.
