for you fireblade people out there I have a query?

I just went and had a look at a crashed 2003 fireblade up here at a wreckers.
its still all straight, frame ok , front etc...
all plastics gone, tank small dent, gauges gone, clip ons
levers etc still ok, seat/subframe ok, ducktail cracked,
engine appears good, no scraps etc on side covers etc...
he's asking $6000 for it....
would this be the going $$ do reckon?? or a bit too much.

yeah, i actually took it for a ride yesterday, goes no probs...
will be great bike if i can just get the wreckers to realise what its really worth...
but....we all know what wreckers are like!!!!!!!!!!

I know that the 954 make
big money here but don't know why.
i had a 929{model before the 954} from almost new and it
was a rocket until a truck driver decided to
skid in to me and make shit of it.

I quite like them fightered....
im looking for a new bike, i have a guy
who is really interested in buy my suzuki and
seeing that I havent even touched it yet and he wants to keep it
original, im thinking ill give in and let him have it and
i'll get something else, im thinking something newer is the
way to go now anyway..... see what happens with this
blade. only thing is the guy who owns it says if he doesnt get what he
wants for it, he'll keep it for a track bike!! and there is a real lack of bikes
like this in the NT (hence im looking interstate now).

through the auctions i think??

yep, which is probably where the wreckers got it from for 3-4000 so cut out the middleman and go to the auctions yourself

not many bikes come up for sale in the NT auctions thou large....
the only ones you'll find here and too smashed and beyond repair or bikes that have been
dropped and sell for prices that you could buy a fine one for!!
unfortunately i think the wreckers are getting in early and getting bikes before
the public has a chance to bid... insurances companies must be going straight to the wreckers!!

112 bhp is a bit weak isnt it? for a 1000, ive got a 2001 750 teapot with 96 horses i would have thought the tl's had more go than that.
