Hows this, just been told of this forum and already i know a few of you dudes!
Wanted to rear my ugly head and say allo to you psyco's, its been a while since Effie has been fired up, mainly due to getting sidetracked wanting to play with the "NO BAR" boys on the east coast, drag racing costs some big money nowadays and i aint got enough to play anymore!!
So im returning her to her former glory, just with a few suttle spicy bits!
Anyways, enuf for now, i had better see if i can get this forum thing firing on all four!!

Hi gents, and thanx for the welcome, Gix, her best was 9.20@155mph back in 2003, but not with the motor in her that you see in the pic.
She was in race trim a little moreso back when the 9.2 was run.
Will try and post a pic or two from when we WSID was opened in 2004.

I saw you and her last week by memory, turning onto Richmond rd off South rd, put a smile on my face!!

So, the last person i know of who owned her was Lee Munro, are you he?:)

No not Lee, Mike!! I would bump into Lee at Loby when he had it, I thought he put it together. Would love some "technical info" on it as all I got from the last owner was the basics. Bike is in bits atm as welds on the swingarm have cracked so while they are being fixed it's getting some zx7 six spot calipers a straight h/bar set up and a comfy seat! I noticed the countershaft sprocket is offset, how far is it safe to space it out because I want to fit 5.5/180 rear wheel/tyre?

Lee didnt build the bike, a fella with the nickname of "Spog" built it, the legend of that EF and what Spoggie used to do on it are etched in the hills between Chain of Ponds and Birdwood, and in the minds of a group of great blokes!!
Luckily im honoured to say that most of those guys are freinds of mine.
If only she could talk!!

So, if you didnt know, your running Yamaha wheels ang GSX/R swinging arm, by memory the bracing was done by a fella called Arthur Bradbrook, he is actually quite a good, well known welder and im sure the cracks are simply a stress over a long period of thime scenario!:)
Spacer on output shaft is no great problem, in my pic im running similar spacer, also in pic i already have 5.5in GSX/R rim, K model by memory, sprocket carrier has been machined down a little to find an equalibriam between drive sprocket and driven sprocket.
I think GSX/R s/arms are wider than EF, so you may find it a little easier to do the mod!:)
Oh, and BTW.....i have a pair of GSX/R1000K2 calipers for sale.;):)

Yep know you by sight! big tall guy. Me- big fat guy, back then FZR 1000 red/stripped down/polished/renthals at the drags-polished/lowered gsxr 600!! Bought the effie so I couldn't go hard in the hills but it didn't work coz it goes like fuck and I got no self control!!! Can't wait for AIR to reopen to run the effie, best run on 600 was 11.9 (stock) fitted full yoshi pipe, extended swingarm and carbon fibre fairing then THEY STOPPED RUNNING THE FUCKING STREET DRAGS!!!

Dude, i dont go intertsate anymore with the pro bike so im not im the groove with what happens with the drags, but, dont hold your breath waiting for AIR to re-open.[xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]

I appreciate the coment on the bike!!:)
To be honest, i do get a bit of a buzz when someone pulls up next to me and asks me what it is, or when its in a line of modern bikes and 99% of people stop to look at mine then move on!! LOL
Some even think its brand spankerz!!!

But, at the end of the day, i built it for me, and for me to enjoy, i suppose im just lucky that a hell of a lot of other people appreciate it aswell!:)
