Hi guys, the old headers on the Bandit are looking pretty tired...
I'm told some of the coating places can be a pretty cost effective way of making them look sharp?
Anyone in Sydney or NSW that can sort it for me, or any personal experiance?
Cheers guys. :)

Go with HPC, there is a couple of mobs in sydney but from prevoius experience HPC is a far superior product.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, has anyone got any finished example pics?

What are the pros and cons of doing this over just forking out for a set of Stainless pipes. Obviously they are cheaper but what else can I expect, or not expect.

I am really after the look, but the more heat you can keep in the headers (not escaping into the air) the more HP (well, that is the theory)......
Will have to give them a ring then :)

ive had mine hpc coated....$190 sounds about right...
ive done about 2000 k's and no chips,no blueing ( is that a real word )just dont spill oil on them and treat it like paint and not like chrome..

Why what happens when you get oil on them? Can you coat them in clear after to avoid any issues?

i think it can stain them ?
as for a clear coat...i'm not sure if it would work with the heat. the pipes still get hot, but they do cool down a lot quicker

Surely the VHT flameproof clear would be up to the task?

I am sending them off to HPC in Vic. They seem to be the guys :)
