Share your classic bikes from the past / present ?

Heres my GPZ1100A c1981 from 2002 the bike that got me back on two wheels after my big bike smash. I locked myself away for a longtime and spent all night many a night working on this, shutting out the pain and anger thing.... if ya know what I mean.
At least 800 hours labour from a non runner in a mess to this:

Thanks mate !

Took it past 140 overtaking a ragtop Ferrari which was entertaining [:p][:p][:p] and it didnt blow up !!

I have another classic project on the go ;)

Love the big old retro Jap classics. Just as challenging to ride fast as the modern ultra-sports bikes.

Nice one HOS. I had one of them myself, back in 1984, brand new GPz1100A3, I think they were claimed to be the most powerful bike on the road then.

Not exactly classic, but I didn't realise just how long ago this was now. '88 ZX10 I did back in about 95 I think it was:

http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/56049822356960.jpg

ZZR1100 engine with dynojet kit and k&n filter, GSXR 750 tail piece modded to fit standard ZX10 dual seat with RF900 front guard (modded with a coping saw) and FZR clocks (and the standard issue twin lights of course - which were a fucker to find back then!) Mark Robbins of Polygon engineering (which later became P.E.S.T.) did my light brackets and top triple/risers. Hew worked out of a small shed back then wishing he could do bikes all the time.

Fuck me, I found this as well. My old Z650 before it became the dirty matt black ratt bike. I'll have to try and find the transition shots as well.

Probably because your a comic nerdy type. Mind you, those leathers in the last shot were mighty tight, but when you're borrowing gear you can't be choosy. Saying that, it didn't really bother me much as my jeans would have been just as tight. Ah, the good old days of the 80's...........

I had a mint GPZ1000RX after that one in black, bone stock complete with Kawa dodgy rectifier :(

Very underated bike !
They would make an excellent streetfighter for "chips" money to buy one !

While were reminising in the 80's I thought i would show the most modern bike I own. My 84 zx turbo. All original except exhaust. Needs a freshen up and maybe a respray, on my to do list for next year

Haha, the discs actually had black centres that i painted red & i know it's a bit hard to see in the pics but the bars are red as well.
Due for a tidy up shortly but it's an every day ride so a bit hard at the mmoment.
