View Full Version : Not one bloody early 1100 150/70 tyre in Oz....

Well my "Soul-tana" 85 popup project has stalled due to not one tyre manufacturer having the original 150/70R18 spec tyre available in Oz.
Bridgestone battleaxe BT54, Avon, Michelin MAcadam 100x list it - but it seems no-one wanted to actually bring it into Australia!
A big bike tyre store in Perth is checking it out - and says he will try and rustle up a pair of michelins.

So - what's everyone else fitting to the 4" inch rims?
160/60 R18's? Dealers dont recommend this???

Cheers

Supercharger Mark got the shits with the same problem and decided it was time for the later model wheels swap over. Looks good, but not really the answer you're looking for by the sounds of things. I could ask one of the guys at the tyre shop downstairs from my work (when I'm back onboard from feeling crook) but sounds like their answer may be the same?

Thanks Gix and Rexie,
Ended up going with the bridgies, front 110/80 rear: 150/60 012's
Is a bit smaller than the 70's but still workable.
Contacted Pirelli, they are bringing 150/70's in in Sept 07.

Cheers guys,
TM
