Ok people just a thought at the mo but I would love to come over to Aus for the next ASF meeting next year with my bike.
So the question is can any one help with telling me the ins and outs or contacts for freighting the bike (or bikes if I can talk some of the others into coming) to get from NZ to Aus and back [?]

Qantas & Air NZ both will airfreight but it isn't cheap. I spoke to an old bloke that shipped his classic car to NZ for a rally about 2 years ago. He shipped his out and for a car cost $1600 each way. I remember him saying that he got ahold of a bloke that exported to NZ and that bloke was able to load his car into a part filled container & organise the same with another company on the way back. When I shipped a frame I built to Auckland it was only $300 all up(including customs clearances)but it took 3 weeks all up before the bloke received it. It only costs $900 to get a bike shipped from the USA so I doubt it will be that expensive

Hey Slam,

give Dave a try at www.getrouted.com.au

Not sure if they do NZ-Oz-NZ but if not, hopefully being in the business they can point you in the right direction.

Cheers

God
