Hi Folks,
My name is eddie and i hail from the SE suburbs of Melbourne. I recently moved on from dirt bikes and bought an immaculate 88 gsxr 750 from an old eccentric. This bloke had just come back from a trip to seee the isle of mann races and had bike stuff every where. He has a signed collin edwards replica vtr sp2 in his lounge etc.
I was genuinely suprised at how much power the old bike has and how well it handles for such a heavy bike (compared to the newer road bikes i had test ridden.)
My first post was asking for some advice on getting my bike back on the road. Because of this problem i have recently scored another gsxr 750 j model complete except for the speedo cluster and bent forks. I am using this donor engine in my everyday bike, but will fix up the small problem on the original motor and put it in the spare gsxr. I am warming up to ripping the fairings off and creating a street fighter after looking at some of the inspiring bikes and tales to go with them on this site over the last couple of months.
I am by no means a mechanic , so it is just a bit of fun!
There is also a site called 'slingshot.cc' for all the slingshot riders out there. This site is staring out , and im sure they would love to see some of the bike on this site.
cheers.
