As for the tomtom maps they are only available from the tomtom download site and cost au$349 plus the cost of an sd card. It does work out cheaper to buy another sat nav unit from a different manufacturer.

The tomtom maps are cheaper to buy from the uk and not from Australia.
I shits me a lot as I have a tomtom rider and a GO 300 I brought with me from the uk and the maps are just too fuggin expensive from tomtom. I have sent them an email two weeks ago asking why but they dont give a shit as I have had no reply from them.
Thing is they are the best system I have used, suppose I will have to wait until some used maps come up for grabs that will work with my series of tomtom sets.
