This is it for now. I am sick of sitting in the garage every weekend watching bikes going past so I am going to simply ride it for a while.

Thanks Ben for the top yoke spacer (regardless of my shithouse measurements [:I])
Otherwise, all work done by yours truly.

I know how you feel, it would seem I spend 50 weeks of the year with my bike pulled down. I want to ride it some day too.

Great work cruise - your tail piece came up a treat. Did you take a mould of your plug or did you just glass over your foam?

Fuckin' ell Dan, you pulled that one off well mate! I have never seen the later model frame used with good results. You have just changed my mind about them. I'm very impressed mate and had no idea it was your bike when I started reading the topic. That alone is testiment to your efforts. I would like to see the front though!

any chance of a final spec list?

are those bars from stu?

The front is a bit of a let-down. It currently has a shitty Acerbis type screen on it because I need some new brackets for my spotties as the old ones don't fit the bigger forks.

zx12argh: I just ended up glassing over the foam and digging it out once it was set. A little untidy but it got the job done.

Fimp: Yeah, the bars are from Stu

Stock B12 motor with stage III jet kit & K&N pods.
Full stainless Hindle system & titanium can (chopped)
'02 GSX-R 1000 Forks & guard, 750 calipers, 600 wheel & discs
GSX-R brake master cylinder
ABM top yoke
Drag bars
TLs seat
Custom tailpiece, crankcase breather & catch tank
Acewell dash
Mini LED taillight
Bar-end mirrors from some Italian mob
Polished rims

looks shit hot mate, really like the paint scheme you chose, just my 2c but i reckon you should shorten the can a little, maybe 10, 15mm... its your build though mate... top job..

+1 on all the favourable comments on the tail unit CC, it really transforms the lines beautifully, well done mate.
I'm loving the overall hunchback/cafe racer shape too, it's good to see someone thinking even further outside the square.

Hmmm not sure I reckon if its just the angle of the photo but I reckon it would look better if you just kicked that angle up a couple of degrees on the exhaust - cant really tell but looks like it doesn't follow the same line as the exhaust.

Just me being picky tho mate :D

Very clean. I really like the modern cafe racer look. The GT stripes just top it all off.[8D]

I was a huge fan of the original Mk1 naked Bandit 12,
always thought the styling went down down hill from there,

but......

Thats VERY nice.
Bloody good job.
You've made an average bike into something VERY tasty.

The front end isn't THAT bad... You've done a lot better than what most people do mate. Tho not much night riding with those 12 volt halogens I take it...

Surprisingly, yes.

I ride to work every morning in the dark with a tinted visor on and have no problems with visibility.

Ah CC off the subject slightly but i had a mate of yours at work today (Steve Western i think from memory)also mentioned knowing Burke and Mick from post and he showed me a shot of a 1100 slabbie fighter that hes building and apparently your helping him put an R6 tail on it :D

Common mate spill the beans and get some pics up of the build or get him to pull his finger and get posting himself he'd already said he'd had a poke around here before.;)
