Well after only 5 months of ownership my 97 TL1000S is up for sale.

Basic story is after four years of politely asking, my missus actually said yes to going for a ride. Now three weeks later we have been out riding every weekend, she has now bought a jacket and helmet and i am looking at buying a ZZR1200 !

I am going to miss this bike, as it is without doubt the best streetbike i have ever ridden, but asking a pillion to sit on one for any length of time could be classed as a crime against humanity.

So here she is. up for sale.

97 TL1000S, 107000km's. NSW rego until 1/08.
Carbon Cans, Undertail , K&N Filter, Hugger, clear LED tail light with integrated indicators, mini front indicators, braided front and rear brake lines, Clutch has been upgraded to a TLR 6 bolt clutch with barnett springs.wheel bearings, swingarm bearings and steering head bearings were all replaced just last year, and the shims were done. I have just added a double bubble smoked screen but it is not in the pics. Plenty of various spares as well.

$5000

Yes the Km's are high, i can tell you that i have personally known this bike since it had 30,000k on it and the last two owners were mates who are fastidious owners. This bike has been loved and cared for which is why i bought regardless of the k's.

I am looking for a quick sale, as i have another bike i am interested in, so i will leave it on here a few days and then its onto Ebay etc.

This is a good bike and i would rather see it go to an ASF member.

Hey there Nath you know that the hard plastic pillion cover comes off and you can put a soft padded seat there for you passenger maybe think of that option prior to buying a couch:D

Yeah fimp i am not looking to make an earn on it. i got it for a good price so i am passing it on. i think it should go pretty quick at that price and i can buy the new jobbie.

The Kat would be a lounge mate but this zzr1200 aint bad at all. It surprised the shit out of me when i rode it, its deceptive, its a fuckin rocket, but comfy as well. Very underated.

I am gonna miss it badly. In a perfect world i could keep this and get a sports tourer as well, but i am not that rich.

Well least 2 good things are coming out of this - your missus is getting into riding and your getting onto a Kwaka - good luck with the sale!
