Hi guys, well, the Bandit it in bits :(
As I posted somewhere else, the gearbox was shit, so I am replacing with a new one :D. Can't afford to do any engine mods (box's are 'spensive [:0]) but I'll get a new air filter made up and play wit the jetting abit, see if we can add a HP or 2 [8D]

And while I am now waiting for some gears coming from Japan, thought I'd do a few of the mods I've been wanting to do for ages, but never had the time or money.

So forks are out, gonna paint the lowers black. Dog bones are out, gonna make em shorter so the big girl might actually amlost keep up with the sportsbikes :D. PLanning to paint the headers black. Then some yellow rim stripes to counter all the extra black. And a nice polished thick alloy fork brace would be cool I reckon.

Long term I'd still like some decent brakes on the front. But I've run out of money all ready :( (doesn't help I'm racing this year as well...)

Piccie is how it sits right now

Throttle response is 10 times better n induction roar addictive but it wont carburate clean on constant part throttle.
Why didn't you just source 2nd hand lump rather than spend lots on gear parts?
Would also put a barnet diaphram in your clutch m8.

Well, abit of progress :D
Built the new gearbox, installed it and joined cases again :)
I have the forks stripped, goin black on the lowers. The headers are down at HPC gettin the black treatment. Have pods n jet scoming from the states, with some new dog bones to get the old girl to steer :D
Oh, and seat re-foamed and re-coverd. Hopefully less than a month till I'm back on board!

Well, dumped the donk back in here on Friday :)

Went for a ride today, jetting is 98% there, feels strong with the intake and ign advancer :D

Excited now, need more time to tidy lots of things up... Not a wild looking bike, but I really really like the look of the standard old shape Bandits - I just wanted to change a few things to suit my taste. And that has been done, I'm stoked!

Very Tidy Russ, a great example of the breed, the rim pinstripes pick it up a bit too
