That can be fixed.

Think radial brakes, 200 rear, USD front, alloy frame,
underseat pipes, and THAT 1340cc motor...:D

yeah but have they "retuned" the engine for torque? I'm fucking sick of the bike manufacturers thinking because it has no fairing you've got to slow it down.

Dropped into Springwood Suzuki today to enquire about dates,
prices and spec.

Possible late October and $19,990 ride away.

Only downside was my 04 Busa, genuine 14,700k's,
never dropped, TRE, Yoshi tri-ovals, polished rims,
Double-bubble screen, alloy chainguard, bar-ends,
stand bobbins, etc etc was only worth 12-$12,500 as a
trade in so would have to be a private sale.

Torque sell's truck's...Horsepower win's race's...;)

:D Same thing was said about the Busa,
They seem to have sold a few though..;)

I was suprised how many folk have already put
down deposits on a bike they haven't seen.

Zuke have been hawking the official B.King around their dealers.
I happened to call in my local Zuke shop to see the fugly B.King filling the doorway.... its a lardass !!!!!
Remember the buttugly X11 ? Well the B.King is much wider/bigger/lardy.
The dry weight is listed as 235 kilos. With all the fluids added, thats got to put it up around 260 to 270 kilos kerb weight ?

Fancy hustling one of those around with 180 bhp on it ??? [xx(]

I will oh so not be buying one of these.

The Front shots of it are ... well huge.. The tank with all that indicator, come dirt bike radiator gaurd is massive... I suppose it'll be good for touring because ya could strap a coffee table across it's tank and take it with you...:D

I think I could find something better to spend $19,900- on.

Sorry guys... I ride a GSX1400 and that is big... i throw that puppy around like a big ole motard.... But, the BKing just looks all wrong.....

If I were to spend AU$20k.... GSXR1000, K6/7, Street fighter it...... Simple.

Sure 'aint pretty but I didn't buy my ZZR11 or Busa because
they'd win beauty contests.

Its a Suzuki, Has all the right bells and whistles and comes
with plenty of get up and go. The rest can be fixed.
(that f*rkin exhaust would be first to go)

Pehaps I should have posted it up on one of those modified Bike
Forums, you know, where they consider a stock bike to be just a
starting point, what are they called....?.....Streetfighters? ;)

...and I love the fact its BIG. Cant be having with small twitchy bikes.

O-Well, each to there own. We cant all be perfect, they'd never make
enough Hayabusa's for everyone....;)

Mate, wait until you've finished it mate. You might change everyone's mind! You confused the shit out of those Busa riders at the GC show....

Tony Nitrous

Yeah, I know the "02 project" really needs a better rear
end. Stock one looks awful. Lets the bike down badly.

Cant spend any cash untill I decide what im doing with the
faired 04. Might be trading it in.

God how have they gotten it so wrong??

It had so much potential, a naked busa.

It looks as if they cut the bike into six parts and had a different person design each part without seeing anyone elses, and then stuck them all together...........TA-DAH !!!

AN ABORTION !!

Tony it definately has potential, and if anyone can give it some cred, you will, but mate why should you have to spend thousands on a brand new bike just to not make it look like a turd. Be cheaper to fighter a Busa like you have and you dont get a motor with the nuts cut out.

I just had a look at the pix and both me and the missus said one thing about it (before even reading Nath's post) -
It looks like a fucking abortion!
It reminds of the car that Homer Simpson designed.
It has potential alright - as a boat anchor. Pull the motor out & put in something (ANYTHING!) else.

It looks way to..... french for my liking.

MDM

Yup, it's ugly, but it does grown on you when you hang around it for a while...

And yes, it is quite heavy - but (in true, time-honoured, traditional journo speak) the weight disappears as soon as you start moving.:D

And it's feckin powerful! Pulls from about 12mph in fourth without complaining, and will do over 140mph in second. [8D] Looks like it is the same spec as the new Busa, although intake and exhaust are different so probably not quite as powerful.

But... it appears to be limited to 150mph.:(

Current Busa cost's about 10c ( .04p ) to derestrict.
Its a 6.8ohm resister from Dick Smiths or Tandy's.
Sends a permanent unresticted 5th gear signal instead of
the governed 1st / 2nd and 6th.
Lets hope the new models are similar ?

Im sure someone will make a lot of money selling all the
usual bolt on crap for B-Kings. They could easy be another
"bolt-on" favorite like the 1400 and Busa's.

Looks like there will be one at the Expo next week along
with the new 08 Busa so you can have a droool over it there Stu..;)
