Just got back from a weeks holiday in the surf capital of the UK.
Cornwall, far south west of England !

Plenty of Auzzies down there. Spent some time in Newquay on Towan and Fistral beaches. Sat on the cliffs at Peranporth and watched maybe 100 or more surfers in the blue atlantic rollers.... chillin.

Any of you guys been to Cornwall in England ?
Beaudiful place.... so laid back...

Yep I went for a week before I upped sticks and moved here to Adelaide.
My brother lives in st'columb minor Newquay and yeah it is a cool place and those cliffs and beaches you mention are among the finest in cornwall and those cliffs are a good place to chill out.
Went down some tin mines as well which is well worth a look oh and wet.

We are going to a place called Moonta or otherwise known as little Cornwall due to the cornish miners moving there all those moons ago with thier building traditions.
Will be interesting to see what it is realy like.

Was there about 7 or 8 weeks back.

Spend a week touring about.

Nice place, shame about the weather and the prices.
Wouldn't swop it for Qld.

Thats a shame about the weather. We just had our wettest summer since records began a few hundred years ago. From Easter onwards it has pissed it down consistantly !! It was only two weeks ago that the rain finally stopped. Our summer just didnt happen this year.

By the way Cornish pasties are shite [xx(]
Couldnt get a decent curry or a chinese :(
However there was plenty of good seafood !!! Plenty of fishy bits and some cooked cow was the way.... Eaten some meat this last week :D:D[^]

Also the setting for many TV show episodes and films. I recognise the photos from films ("Saving Grace" comes to mind). .....plus I went there as a kid.

Lived in Newquay for around 18 months back in the 80’s and loved it – town went from population of 15,000 odd to over 120,000 + in the space of 2 weeks when the summer started … beserko ….surf, pubs, clubs, totally off your face 24/7 …. as well as a bit of work thrown in!
Brilliant
:D:D:D
