me too at brands when i was 17...and as for modern racers ...go young Stoner ..the thing that made bazza so special wasnt his racing skill ,although he was amazing ,it was his personality a proper geezer

have always been a bazza fan, and have the book & DVD, also the number 7 on my track bike.
he did so much for the sport to get it to what it is today that, most people don't realise.

I've done the Barry Sheene memorial ride from Bairnsdale down to the island for the G P the last couple of years, the thing is fucken huge, lots of Barry love going on there [8D] he really is a legend, sadly missed:(

i didnt realise he took on the FIM till i saw this DVD but he was right the lack of safety on some tracks in the 70's was almost criminal

I read his biography a few years back. He improved safety at the gps massivly, he was responsible for getting the tt banned from the gp callender.
Top man, not the best racer but raised the profile of motorcycle racing and brought it to the mainstream with his playboy antics. r.i.p
