Welcome aboard Knuckles. The more Kiwi bikes I see from you guys, the more I think you have yet another style in Fighter design. It's intriguing.

Oh, and by the way, how come by the time I got here all the posts were editied and nothing was said but pictures?

Ha Ha cheers mate, a man of few words, style wise the gixxer is not extreme but motor is bored out to 1109 with shot peened conrods, ported head, barnett clutch plates, dyna coils, K&N,and soon some bigger carbs to replace the 34s so it goes well for a 20 year old bike. As far as a Kiwi style goes what do think your seeing alot of mate?

Big and bold mate. From what I have seen it's the full on colours and big amounts of body sculpting, very similar to the mainland europe styles. The Aussie bikes have a bit of that as well, but they seem to head more for the UK minimalist look. Maybe influenced by the amount of UK ex-pats onboard this site? Who knows? I do believe that every country takes onboard it's own style, and that, I think, is cool.

Yeah I think your right mate mine are definately the fat look and are real bright in the flesh, but its good that your seeing a style and were the first to recognise it.

Its funny mate as our club is only newly formed with a small number of members and prior to this nobody had seen each others bikes so if that style is kiwi so be it. Looking at Tonys ZX12 and Slams R1 they do command a certain wide presence, interesting?

You guys could become the pioneers for your country's style. With the introduction of the internet and the world becoming a smaller place styles are not as country specific as they used to be as now everyone has access to all styles. Look at the days before the internet and you'll see why England and Germany created such distinct styles, and in a strange way, the USA has, with it's less than 'Streetfighter style' of stretching it and sticking on a 300+ back tyre.

Interesting that you guys hadn't seen each others bikes before. Maybe you were all influenced somehow by the same thing, but even the Kiwi culture may dictate your style? We saw Slamdog's bike back in April last year and were well impressed as it didn't instantly fit into a category. You guys are going the same way.

Next time you have a Fighter event we will have to send some members over and hook up for a few bevvies or vice versa, our numbers are low at present so ride days or other motorcycle events are the only stuff we incorporate into? Ill get some photos of some more Fighters NZ style and post them in the pics forum.
