If I have a lock number what is it going to cost me to get a key cut to suit and will any locksmith have the know how to do this?

not sure on costs but usually if you take the key number to a bike shop they order it from the relevant supplier... Unless of course you've got a Honda with HISS - if you dont have the spare key and the number you are fucked.

Is this why M8 you have decided to go for a remote ignition?

Nah, I've got an r1 tail which needs a key to open the lock.

Take the lock in to the locksmith (i had to do it for a key to my tank and the r1 seat i bought).
