ok well i went out and got me a slash cut exhaust with 4 exits and baffles.... i think it soud friggen awesome, but then again i only got it back today.... its loud and notey!! and i can see me getting a yellow sticker really very soon if i keep it on!!!!
now what i was thinkning of doing was getting some sort of muffler built round it... with a "lid/door" to stuff the fiber packing in it... and perferating each tube on the insides to leak the sound into the fiber packing...... would this quieten the exhaust down?? and what else can be done to it to soften it mor.. its at 128dB comparred to the ussual 93dB rating....

I think what ever you do to make the muffler you build around them will look to big as you will have to allow a fair bit of space to get enough packing in there to soften the sound.

What I done to a customers bike when I had my own workshop in the uk was to use some old baffles out of an old two stroke exhaust something like a gp125 or the gt's as they had a threaded hole in one end to keep them in and that could be utilised to hold them in the slash cuts and the baffles would be wrapped in a mix of wire wool and fibre glass used to work a treat.
I would think you could make something similar out of gauze tubing as I think two stroke baffles may be a bit hard to come by now.

it pops and farts when i back off the accel... running rich too.... i love it... but i dont want it to be more cop bait then what it already is... ill dyno tune it when this muffler business is sorted...

this exhaust can be heard miles away from my house... as tested today.... either it needs to be majorily bafled or muffled... the sound bouces of cars when lane splitting and houses when throtling... and it also intitiates severe head aches....

Hey abel, I have an unopened pack of muffler packing if you want it.
I bought it to repack my CR500 pipe and never got around to it.
Free to you. I'm back in town on Wednesday.

I think you should leave it, so when we ride together, i know the coppers are gunna be lookin at you !
