I was in Northern Ireland the other day to visit jack Frost at Holeshot Racing who's recently relocated from England.
I got a look at some of the gear he has laying around his workshop which is a pretty small two man show, downsized a lot from the England set up apparently.

The bike is his land speed bike which has dyno'd at 720hp and has recorded a best of 257mph.
Interestingly, the bike doesn't use anywhere near that hp to get to that speed and was sitting on the rev limiter through the traps.
He's since fitted a bigger gearbox which he says should give him another 20mph and took it back to England last weekend but the event was rained out, so he has to wait till september for another try as there's only two official land speed events per year.
He's recently changed it back to a stock length swingarm, apparently stability isn't an issue.
The headstock has been opened four degrees ( I think) to make room for the intercooler.
This bike will be for sale later this year, I didn't ask how much, but I expect it's not going to be cheap.

The car engine is a turbo busa which is pumping out about 450hp, apparently they do quite a few of these and minis as well with RWD conversions.

It was all pretty impressive.

Cheers

Ah mate! You never told me you were going to see Jarrod (Jack)! You should have mentioned ASF to him so he might drop in. I knew him from year's ago when he was doing the Stunt shows after he did drag racing. Last saw him at the TT in '97. He's a good bloke and should be in here as well. He's the guy I tell the story about his turboed Spondon that the dyno just couldn't keep up with, even with 3 blokes sat on it! This is back in '96 when turboing bikes was still pretty uncommon. First time I saw such a thing. The crowd loved it. Him on a 720hp Busa doesn't surprise me at all.

I've seen videos of those turbo'd minis - I was seriously contemplating a conversion for my 69 mini - shame bikes got a hold of me before that went through - They get400 hp from the hyabusa engine apparently and in a mini that would just be phenomennal...

to put these hp figures in to perspective ...a ww2 merlin engine [spitfire ]produced about the same hp...and managed 340 mph nuts must be like strappin yourself to an exocet missile

I reckon that it'll probably wheelie in first off the throttle.... and maybe even second with a bit of clutch.
