quickest thing from the lights would be my 05' cbr 600RR, beets most 1000's to about 180, 190, but quickest bike i ever ridden was a 06 cbr1000 round phillip island, that was fun!!....

In the mid 80's a mate had an EFE with a GSX1100 motor heavily modded can't remember all the gear but had a "Rita?" ignition stage 4 Yoshi's 37 Keihin's. It made this funny sound between 3-7 000 then all hell broke loose fucken fun.

Rode one of those once. That was the bike Australian standards almost made Suzuki recall because of the appalling crash rates an dismall handling.Handled like a block of flats on ice skates. Fastest straight line bike Ive ridden was some ten plus years ago, it was a modded ZZR1100, cams, exhaust, carbs done etc. Probably not all that quick anymore considering a Busa would probably blow it away straight out of the box.

Yes I remember the (60 minutes?) telecast. I reckon they should have kept their hands on the handlebars isn't that the idea to stop the bars from wobbling they obviously hadn;t ever ridden a Mach4 before they did it even with hanging onto the bars Ha Ha

Well it was Judge but then I rode NTB's & Boosters Turbo Busa's both are Very fast bikes although on NTB's you've got the wind to contend with as well so it "Feels" quicker although I think Boosters is actually quicker.[:p][8D]

Fucking fun though...

I really need a longer swinger...but I don't want one....but I need one...but i don't want one...but I need one...etc etc

Sounds weird but my K2 1000.

190HP at the back tyre and 182Kg full of fluid.

With the gas on it was 204HP and sensational on that short a wheel base.

Would love to try a turbo Busa ;)

I'd like to say my turbo GS, but that would be a lie. Seeing as I haven't owned many bikes and don't test ride unless I intend to buy, I have to say it's my RF900R.

Was my 1170 Kat,
Then was my Modded ZZR11C3,
Now my Faired Busa, not sure why,
Dyno only said 159 but seems real strong on the road.
Even with a pillion it seems to pull clean at the top end.

Mates GSXR11"Slabsider" with a modded EFE MrTurbo kit FELT the
fastest due to an on/off throttle and skinny 18" wheels,
or a real crisp Stan Stevens RD500LC,
but in reality probabley wasn't that fast, just frightning!!

Must try and get the Naked Busa up to Willowbank,
Im interested to see how it compares to the Factory Nakeds.

Yeah, I know what you mean!
My Bandit with a few mod's and a good sniff of NOS pulled
168 on the dyno. Not quick top-end, but fastest thing
ever for putting a grin on ya face! Standard cheap shit
running gear and brakes, and a 2.5lb bottle that never
seemed to last long enough. Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa!!!!!!

I drool over Kats and Busa's but a cheap and Nasty Mk1
B12 probabley gave me the most laughs and least problems.

I've walked up the plane to stretch my legs,
whilst plane was flying with the rotation of the earth.
How's that work out ?
14,000mph + Plane speed + walking pace ? ;)

RG500, went from 60 to 220 so fuckin quick my arse nearly caved in. I looked over the fairing at 200 and it literally ripped my shirt off. I took it back and said I'm not buying that thing, it'll kill me. Wish I had one now though:D

By far my 04 ZX10R... Seen the digital speedo read 298km/h.
I was racing a friend on his K6 Gix (he upgraded from the K2 when i got something faster).
I was sittin right on his tail at 270 then whipped out and shot round him, full throttle chasing 300. unfortunately the road wass rough as and i hit u pothole that bounce my helmet off the tank and above the fairing. the wind almost tore my head off. i figured since i was only wearing a tshirt, jeans and joggers i should probably slow down... so backed off to 220.

ultimate ride i would love to throw a leg over would have to be the Y2K jet turbine bike. although its probably one of the ugliest bikes ever built it would be a fantastic ride.

Turbo Busa, soon to be faster Busa, when I decide which way to go!

Have a Tunnel Race Boat (Similar to a F1) thats good for 90MPH+ that corners pretty hard. Boat had a V8 Evinrude Outboard for a while capable of pushing it to 110MPH+

Used to own a Busa, fuggin quick............

Now own a fightered K2 Gixer Tho, ultra light, 169BHP pure acceleration is blistering, top end is hyper speed & fast corners are faster

Manuel from Natli's turbo Harley that was running nines at the time.

Rode it from their old workshop at Kingswood and down along the M4. Cruising at 100mph, it was making a coupla pounds of boost. I whacked the throttle open and watched the boost gauge climb to 16lb. That was the quickest accelerating motorcycle I've ever ridden on the street. The little white lane divider dots were a solid white line. No idea of speed as I was too engrossed in watching the boost gauge.

Have seen 260km/h on a couple of genuine street bikes, Rapid's GSX1400 in particular. Apparently I'm a girl; Jeff reckons he did it with Heather on the back.

Another memorable one was a BMW K1. At 260-plus, it was boring.

My NTB is pretty fast for a street bike...... feels fast with no fairing...... I have seen 320, maybe more, a heaps of times ( maybe a real 300) heaps of wind and hard to stay on sometimes...It gets to 280 real fast.

I drove company s class v12 mercs and l seris beemers, 300hemi things all at 250plus at night often...some clients rated it..... some got a bit scared, I said > fuck you just flew from bagdad relax!! heaps of fun!!!

Cheers

Fuck you blokes have ridden flown driven some cool stuff

sounds like you need to lean off the oil mixture in your fuel buddy cause thats the only smoking your rgv would do.

No, he has a ridgey didge email address. I think Ash needs to get out more, comparing RG500's to the afore mentioned. Wake up to yourself mate. It's not 1985 any more.

06-08-2007, 04:49 AM
Hey Ash,

Here's a trick from my two-stroke racing days.

Drill a half-inch (or 12.7mm) hole dead-centre of the crown of each piston.

This secret will ensure that every last bit of air/fuel mixture gets ignited by the sparkplug.

It's called piston porting and will make your RGV run the way it should.

Let us know how it works for you.

Guaranteed result every time.

4 wheels on the road was a mate's skyline, speedo showing 205mph, but not to accurate.

quickest bikes eh? well u lot have ridden way faster quiker stuff than me but when i bought my first "fat"[read sports] bike 1989 ZXR 750h1 i tho it was the dogs quikest thing ive ever owned [apart from the triumph].. micron race pipe and dynojettted i raced me mates scooby wrx and wasted it then lost the front guard;[ top whack 155mph i suppose
but the quickest i ve ever ridden was a customers brand new zx12 fee fukin nominal

as for planes ..mr mc graw never bin in a jet fighter but ive bin up in a P-51 for a joyride at Duxford sitting in the special chair[read afterthought] at the back ...that was fun 400mph and the sound of that rolls royce merlin music ..now THATS a fighter
